Rockford FIRE Basketball

Age Eligibility - A player who is at least 10 by August 1st, but not over the age of 12 on August 1st is considered eligible to play in the 12-and-under age group. A player who is 14 (and under) on August 1st is considered eligible to play in the 14u age group. A player who is 16 (and under) on August 1st is considered eligible to play in the 16u age group. A player who is 18 (and under) on August 1st is considered eligible to play in the 18u age group. At the coach or parents discretion, players may play in a higher age group.

Tryouts may be implemented depending on how many players sign up. Practices begin in October and continue until scheduled games are completed.

Team practices TBD, but are usually held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning in October.

Fee: Registration fee of $175 for each family due to Hallstrom Homeschool Workshops. Athletic fee (TBD by coach) to be paid to the Rockford FIRE through Hallstrom’s website www.hallstromhomeschool.org. Athletic fees cover all regular season games. (Regional and National player fees and hotel/food costs are not included.)

It is imperative that parents ensure that their students are eligible considering the NCHC Eligibility Requirements. If they are not, the entire program may be removed from the NCHC conference. By registering, you are agreeing that you have read and understood these requirements and that your student satisfies them.
